Common T-Spin Setups

T-Spin Double (TSD)

The most important setup. Sends 4 garbage (5 with B2B), scores 1,200 base points.

How to build it:

  1. Create an overhang using an L, J, or S/Z piece
  2. Leave a T-shaped gap beneath the overhang
  3. Rotate the T-piece into the gap
  4. Both rows clear = T-Spin Double

T-Spin Triple (TST)

Sends 6 garbage (7 with B2B). Harder to set up but devastating.

Tips

  • Hold your T-piece when you see a potential setup
  • Practice in Zen mode with no pressure
  • TSDs are more practical than TSTs
  • Alternate TSDs with Quads while maintaining Back-to-Back
